Authorities have discovered “writings” left behind in the Manhattan jail cell where Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
“It appears at first look that it’s just Jeffrey’s thoughts about what he was going through, his emotional state,” a source told Radar.
“The writings are being reviewed to determine if it was a suicide letter.”
As Radar previously reported, Epstein died at 66 after the billionaire businessman reportedly hung himself with a sheet tied to the top bunk of his bed at the Metropolitan Correction Center in New York City on Saturday, August 10.
“Jeffrey was dead for at least two hours before he was finally discovered by prison staff,” a source told Radar.
Officials had incarcerated the convicted pedophile while he awaited trial on multiple charges of sex trafficking underage girls.
Radar was first to report the disgraced financier attempted suicide by hanging just weeks before he managed to take his own life.
Though he was placed on suicide watch after the attempt, he reportedly was no longer under constant surveillance at the time of his death.
Two guards on duty when he was found dead have been placed on leave, the Department of Justice announced on August 13.
In addition, the jail’s warden has been temporarily reassigned.
