Rumours of family tensions inside Kensington Palace have been swirling for months – and it appears the Duchess of Sussex is beginning to feel the pressure.
Sources say Meghan, 37, is ‘fed-up’ of not being able to ‘stand up for herself’ as the demands of royal protocol dictate she keeps a dignified silence regarding rumours of a ‘feud’ between her and sister-in-law Kate.
An insider told Us Weekly the pregnant duchess is finding it ‘frustrating and stressful’ having ‘no voice’ – and finds the constraints of royal life ‘debilitating’.
Once an outspoken feminist who gave speeches at United Nations forums, Meghan has since shut down her social media accounts as part of her transition from actress to duchess.

The royal insider told the magazine: ‘She’s always relied on her own voice to stand up for others, and for herself. So not being able to say anything is a debilitating feeling.
‘She’s always been so independent, her entire life, and that’s all been taken away from her. She’s always been able to clap back on social media and now she can’t.’
The source added that Prince Harry, who is ‘very protective’ of his wife of seven months, is feeling the pressure too.

It comes after rumours of a rift between the Cambridges and Sussexes, following the news that Harry and Meghan would be moving away from Kensington Palace to Frogmore House in Windsor.
There were claims that Kate was left in tears following Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid’s dress fitting, ahead of Meghan and Harry’s wedding in May, as well as suggestions the pair had clashed over staff.

However, royal insiders have insisted that there has been no falling out between the Cambridges and the Sussexes, but admitted the pair are ‘very different people’.
A source previously told the Daily Mail’s Rebecca English: ‘[W]hile there are some tensions behind the scenes, Kate is pretty unflappable and nothing has become bad enough to make Harry and Meghan want to move out.
‘People are genuinely pleased to see them so happy. The truth is that there simply isn’t enough room at Kensington Palace for them and I know they have been looking at Windsor as a possibility since before the wedding.’
Prince Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37 – who are expecting their first child together in the Spring – are expected to stay at Kate and William’s Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, this Christmas, as they did last year.
