There is bittersweet news for fans of Canadian actor Ludwig.

In September, he posted a video where he jumped out and scared Lauren, with the accompanying caption “Was it worth ruining our relationship? Probably not… But did I win? Oh yes.”

Since then, both Ludwig and Dear have posted adorable pictures of themselves together on social media since July.

They appear to have taken several trips together to various places and have been posting photographs of their adventures.

In July, Ludwig wished Dear a happy birthday alongside a photo of her kissing him on the cheek.

To date, neither Ludwig nor Dear have publicly confirmed their relationship.

Ludwig previously dated his Vikings co-star Kristy Dinsmore, who plays Amma in the show.

Following her first appearance in the series in 2018, Ludwig wrote on Instagram: “Introducing #Amma #vikings she may be the smallest but no doubt she’s also the fiercest #viking.

“It was one of the greatest gifts of my life to get to work with my woman @_kristydawndinsmore over the past two years on #vikings I love this character and everything you bring to it. CONGRATULATIONS Baby!”

Ludwig and Dinsmore have not publicly confirmed their split, but fans of the couple will have noted their last picture shared together on social media were in February 2020.

Will Alexander Ludwig return in Vikings season 6, part 2?

At the end of Vikings season six, part one, Bjorn Ironside’s life appeared to be in serious danger.

He was stabbed by his brother, Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen) on the beach of Kattegat after the brothers went head to head for the throne.

Viewers were left confused as to whether Bjorn was actually killed by Ivar, or if it was just a dream sequence.

Thankfully, Ludwig will return for the last 10 episodes of Vikings but whether Bjorn will survive remains unknown for now.

In a teaser trailer for the upcoming episodes, Bjorn looks like he is clinging onto life as he rides a horse towards the Rus Army.

Show creator Michael Hirst has confirmed Bjorn and Harald (Peter Franzén) are seriously injured in part B but did not disclose whether they would survive.

Ludwig also confirmed he would be returning in part B, but did not specify how long for or in what form.

Hirst hinted to TV Guide: “He’s not dead, is he? He’s very, very badly wounded.

“I can’t tell you too much but what I can tell you is the [midseason premiere] is an extraordinary episode and a number of things that you thought were true at the end of [midseason finale] proved not to be quite true.”

Ludwig added: “Nobody would be expecting that [Bjorn to die], which is why I think it’s a genius move.

“It’s something that I had spoken to [Hirst] about in a lot of ways, and I said that I wanted Bjorn to go at the hands of somebody like Ivar.

“If it wasn’t Ivar, then it would have been by his own hand or something so tragic that the audience was just kind of floored by it.

“Because it’s so obvious for Bjorn to finally come up and achieve all this greatness and take his brother down and save the day, and it’s kind of what everybody secretly wants.

“And that’s kind of what I loved about the choice is that he goes — I’ll tell you this though.

“He doesn’t go without a fight. And whether or not he is still alive, you will see a version of Bjorn is some way, shape, or form.”
