Astronauts Bob Behnken & Doug Hurley Say Goodbye to Families from a Distance Ahead of SpaceX Launch

Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley are all suited up while saying goodbye to their families ahead of the NASA & SpaceX rocket launch on Saturday (May 30) at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla.

The two astronauts are going to space in the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket with the Crew Dragon spacecraft. This is NASA’s first manned mission since the end of the Space Shuttle program in 2011 and it also marks SpaceX’s first-eve crewed mission.

The launch was supposed to happen earlier this week, but it was postponed due to weather just 17 minutes ahead of the planned launch.

The families had to stand at a distance while saying goodbye to Bob and Doug due to quarantine.
