Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton have shared a video for “Dive Bar,” a song from Brook’s upcoming album, Fun.
The visual shows Brooks and Shelton performing underwater without scuba gear in place, singing and indulging in some synchronized dancing.
“So here’s a toast coast to coast / With a big old adios to wishes wasted on them falling stars / We’re gonna spend the weekend in the deep end of a dive bar,” they sing.
A pair of dancing sharks join the singers who are seen throwing in some cheesy moves of their own, attempting a backward moon slide and Shelton rocking out on air guitar.
The video ends with the camera focusing on a whiskey bottle sitting on the bar where a bartender grabs it to pour someone a drink.
“I keep saying that this is the most fun I’ve ever had on a video shoot. I couldn’t stop laughing, just pure joy. The band, crew, Blake … everyone made this one an unforgettable experience,” Brooks said in a press release.
He added, “It’s been a while since we’ve done a music video, and I hope everyone agrees this one was worth the wait.”
The song was released in June this year and Brooks and Shelton subsequently performed it live at Brooks’ stadium show in Boise, Idaho, on July 19.
Brooks co-wrote “Dive Bar” with Mitch Rossell and Bryan Kennedy.
