Jeezy and Gucci Mane have a long history of feuding that started in 2005 when Gucci was accused of fatally shooting rapper Henry Lee Clark III, an associate of Jeezy’s. However, murder charges against Gucci were dropped a year later due to a lack of evidence.
In a recent interview with “The Breakfast Club” podcast, Jeezy said that he had previously asked Gucci Mane to join him on “Verzuz” but that the rapper had “respectfully declined” through Swizz Beatz.
The “Verzuz” battle is set to stream live from Atlanta beginning at 8 p.m. ET Thursday on Apple Music.
