Kristen Doute is back to stirring the pot.
The “Vanderpump Rules” star slammed “The Hills” reboot in a recent interview with Daily Mail Australia, saying: “I think it’s such a joke. I did ‘The Hills’, I know that it’s very fake.”
Doute, 35, made an appearance on the original MTV hit. Fellow SUR-vers Scheana Marie and Tom Sandoval made cameos as well. Marie, 33, commented that she’d love to star on the revamped “The Hills: New Beginnings,” but Doute shot the idea down.
“Scheana’s not leaving ‘Vanderpump Rules,’” she said. “I would chain Scheana to her apartment if she tried to do ‘The Hills’ reboot!”
She continued, “They wish they were ‘Vanderpump Rules.’ They say that we wish that we were them, but it’s vice versa.”
Page Six reported that “The Hills” was returning in August with Brody Jenner joining the cast in September. Former “The O.C.” star Mischa Barton signed on in October.
“So Mischa Barton is joining a reality show that’s based off a character off a scripted television show?” Doute added. “I can’t. I can’t get into it at all.”
Surprisingly, Doute didn’t have much to say about Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s son Brandon participation.
