A boyfriend has gone viral after sharing the thoughtful advent calendar he hand-crafted for his girlfriend of four years.

Jack Dean, 25, a YouTuber from Norwich, made Fiona a personalised advent calendar featuring a picture of them on the front.

Behind each of the twenty-four doors Jack, who previously spent one week in the Big Brother house and has interviewed the likes of Leona Lewis on his channel, hid a puzzle in the form of a poem, revealing clues to the location of that day’s gift.

Admitting that his girlfriend was delighted at the romantic gift, Jack shared a picture of the calendar, quickly racking up 4,500 likes on Twitter and over 11,000 likes on Instagram.

Posting a picture of the calendar featuring a snap the couple took last Christmas, Jack wrote: ‘Made Fiona an advent calendar! Each door contains a poem puzzle in which the answer is the location for the day’s gift! Buzzing that she loves it.’

The calendar reads: ‘Fiona’s Christmas Advent Calendar 2018, all my love Jack’.

And another tweet shows Fiona, dressed in her pyjamas, holding the huge calendar proudly as she poses for a picture. 

A glimpse at one of the poems shows a puzzle begin with the sentence: ‘This is the place…’ and end with the words ‘go in the bathroom and look in the…’. 

An empty box sits in place of the puzzle’s answer, which presumably rhymes with the rest of the poem.

And his 255,000 Twitter followers quickly flooded the thread to praise his creativity and thoughtfulness. 

One follower praised: ‘Um this is adorable’, while another added: ‘This is so wholesome haha’.

And querying the contents, one added: ‘You better have put some glitter confetti in there!’

One follower said: ‘I wanna see what she gets in it! What a lovely idea x’

Tagging her boyfriend, one woman tweeted: ‘You’re slacking!’, quickly bagging a free dinner as he replied: ‘l’ll buy you a Papa Johns and run us a bath in a bit baby….we’ll open our basic girl dairy milks then’.

And while Jack’s female followers praised him, his male followers appeared less complimentary.

‘You’ve got too much time on your hands there’, one joked.
