And, as a result of lockdown, relationships have been feeling the strain, as sanctions prevented free movement like we’ve never seen before, resulting in a handful of celebs parting ways with their partners.
Feeling the pressure, a few of these couples have listed the pandemic as the reason behind their split. Here’s a look at those who’ve chosen to bid farewell to their relationships during the COVID-19 lockdown
Roman Kemp and Anne-Sophie Flury
I’m A Celeb star Roman Kemp and his girlfriend Anne-Sophie Flury split after a three year relationship.
The couple moved in together in January but according to The Sun, their relationship broke down during lockdown.
The publication claims Roman, 27, and Swiss scientist Anne-Sophie, who met on Tinder, “weren't able to make things work”.
A source told The Sun: “Roman loved Sophie and things had been going really well for them. But being in lockdown is tough for any couple and they just weren’t able to make things work, which has been upsetting and tough for them both."

Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes
Doctor Who star Jenna Coleman has reportedly split from actor boyfriend Tom Hughes.
Jenna, 34, was spotted moving out of the home the pair share together after it was reported that they'd gone their separate ways after four years together.
Jenna and Tom's love story began as they played out a love story on screen in their roles as Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in period drama Victoria.
Candice Brown and Liam Macauley
Bake Off star Candice Brown split from her husband Liam Macauley after two years.
The 35 year old star, who won the seventh series of the popular baking show, married tree surgeon Liam in 2018, but it has now been confirmed that the pair have gone their separate ways.
Her agent told the Mirror: “I can confirm Candice and Liam separated earlier this year."
Candice first met Liam in 2012, in the bar he was working in while studying for a degree.
Nikki Sanderson and Greg Whitehurst
Hollyoaks actress Nikki Sanderson split from her boyfriend of five years Greg Whitehurst.
It seems lockdown took a toll on them and the actress has now revealed that she and Greg will simply "remain friends".
She told The Sun: "Sadly Greg and I have decided to separate. We remain friends and wish the best for each other in the future."
Nikki, who plays Maxine Minniver on the popular Channel4 soap opera, and Greg began dating in 2015, only 10 months after he was married.
Samira Mighty and Alex Dean
Samira Mighty split from her boyfriend Alex Dean. The 23 year old is thought to have ended her relationship with the Ibiza Weekender star after spending 14 months together.
A source confirmed the news to The Sun Online, explaining that the pair parted ways before the UK went into lockdown two months ago.
"They haven't been together in a long time," the insider added to the publication. The two have also unfollowed each other on social media and deleted all photos of one another off their Instagram feeds, solidifying their split.
Samira, who found fame on the hit ITV dating show Love Island back in 2018, has a history of being unlucky in love as her former boyfriend Frankie Foster reportedly cheated on her.
The reality star infamously left the Majorcan villa to be with the 24 year old, only to find out later on that he had been caught on camera passionately kissing another woman behind Samira's back, leaving the TV personality heartbroken.
Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson
Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson split after two years together.
The 27 year old supermodel and Pretty Little Liars actress, 30, are thought to have ended their relationship in April, with multiple sources alleging the news to People Magazine.
"Cara and Ashley always had their ups and down before but it's over now," the insider said, before adding: "Their relationship just ran its course.”
Georgia Steel and Callum Izzard
Ibiza Weekender star Callum had set his sights on marriage to Love Island’s Georgia Steel, just a month after they started dating last year, but the pair have since gone their separate ways.
Breaking her silence on the split, Georgia, 22, said she wants to “focus on herself,” during an interview with FUBAR Radio’s Access All Areas.
The stunning star explained when asked about the breakup: “I’m a good believer in everything happens for a reason and I’m just rolling with it to be fair.”
A source also told The Sun Online: “They were recently flat hunting in Manchester together, but it’s been called off. Georgia is now planning to move up to Manchester alone.”
Wes Nelson and Arabella Chi
Love Island stars Wes Nelson and Arabella Chi's romance unfortunately didn’t last lockdown.
Wes, 22, and model Arabella, 28, parted ways after nine months together as Wes moved out of their home to go and stay with Love Island pal Josh Denzel and his girlfriend.
The trio have since been spotted exercising together in London.

A pal of their pair has now revealed there was no infidelity between the two and the relationship had simply run its course.
A source close to the couple told OK! online: "The reason Wes and Arabella split up is simply because the spark was gone.
"At the start they kept seeing each other non-stop and were infatuated with each other, but over the past couple of months things haven't been right between them.
"Wes and Arabella aren't the kind of people to cheat, or start looking elsewhere when things go bad, so they agreed to end things.
"It was a mutual decision and they're finished with each other now. The magic just wasn't there anymore".
Chris Hughes and Jesy Nelson
Little Mix star Jesy Nelsoncalled time on her romance with Love Island’s Chris Hughes after coronavirus restrictions took their toll.
The pair dated for 18 months had even discussed marriage not long before the split.
Shortly after their break-up, making the most of his Easter weekend at his parents' farm, Chris, 27, shared a clip of him having fun driving around in a Range Rover across an enormous field and playing with his puppies.

Meanwhile Jesy, 28, took her mind off her break-up by basking in the sunshine and sipping Pimm's cocktails in her back garden.
The former couple were already spending time apart during the current lockdown period, and it is believed they decided to split while living away from one another.
Shane Lynch and Sheena White
Boyzone’s Shane Lynch and Sheena White first tied the knot in 2007 but their relationship came under pressure during the pandemic and they split.

Lucy Fallon and Tom Leech
Lucy Fallon broke up with her boyfriend Tom Leech after four years together.
The 24 year old and her ex spent the duration of the coronavirus lockdown together but it is believed the pair felt they needed time apart after restrictions were eased.
A source said: "She and Tom have called it quits and are no longer together. They spent lockdown together but it gave them time to evaluate what they want.
“They decided taking time apart was the best idea and they have gone their separate ways."

Rita Simons and Theo Silveston
Rita, 43, who played Roxy Mitchell in the BBC soap, has called time on her marriage to hairdresser Theo Silveston and the pair have been secretly living apart.
Rita’s agent said in a statement: “Rita and Theo have been separated for almost two years and Theo moved out of the family home some time ago.
“They are currently finalising their divorce, and amicably co-parenting their two daughters."
The pair, who are thought to have split on good terms, share twin daughters, Jamiee and Maiya, 14.
Samantha Womack and Mark Womack
The former EastEnders star revealed exclusively to OK! magazine that she and Mark have been separated for a while, but she says they’re still happily living together in their Bedfordshire farmhouse with their children Benjamin, 19, and Lili Rose, 15. Samantha is also stepmum to Mark’s son Michael, 25, from a previous relationship.
“Our family home is big enough and we’re co-existing happily. There’s no rush to change things,” she explains. “But now feels like the right time to be honest and admit we’re no longer together.”
Samantha first met Mark, 59, on the set of Liverpool 1 back in 1998 and their 2009 wedding was covered by OK!. Despite their harmonious relationship, Samantha says there’s no going back for her and Mark – who joined Emmerdale as DI Mark Malone earlier this year – and admits they have both dated other people since their split.
Dr Alex George and Amelia Bath
Love Island star Dr Alex George is single once again as he confirmed his split from Amelia Bath.
The 30 year old A&E doctor has been separated from his Ibiza Weekender girlfriend after spending time apart during the lockdown.
Alex, who returned to the frontline to work in A&E during the pandemic, shared the news on his Instagram story as he wrote: “Guys just want to let you know, Amelia and I have decided to go our separate ways.
“As you know, we've been apart for most of lockdown which has been hard on us both and we both agree this is for the best. We will remain good friends and I have nothing but respect for Amelia. Thank you for the love and support always.”
Jennifer Metcalfe and Greg Lake
Jennifer Metcalfe has announced her split from former Geordie Shore star Greg Lake in August.
The 36 year old took to Twitter to reveal the sad news, three years after the pair welcomed their son Daye.
Hollyoaks star Jennifer wrote to her 363,000 followers: "Greg and I decided to part ways amicably a couple months ago.
"We remain friends and we both will continue to happily co parent Daye and would appreciate privacy during these times. Thank you to everyone who has supported us before, during and after this."
Jennifer and Greg had been together for almost eight years after meeting in 2012 after Greg, 35, quit the MTV reality show after just one series.
The pair welcomed their son in 2017, with Mercedes McQueen actress Jennifer describing him as their "miracle baby" at the time.
Sophie Porley and Adam Woodward
Hollyoaks stars Sophie Porley and Adam Woodward were dating in real life, but it was recently revealed that the pair had gone their separate ways.
The soap actors were together for almost two years however Sophie, who played Ellie Nightingale on the soap, recently took part in an Instagram Q&A and revealed their break up.
When asked if they were still together the actress replied: “We broke up earlier this year. Like lots of couples this year,” followed by a heart emoji.
The brunette beauty went on to add that she was currently enjoying being single, writing: “I'm very happy to be single right now."
