DEAR DEIDRE: I’VE not seen my big sister for more than six years. I’ve started messaging her as I miss her a lot.
I’m a boy of 17 and my sister is 24. We lost contact because of the problems between Mum and Dad.
I don’t understand what went on but I do know that people got hurt by some things that she said but she never hurt me.
I’m messaging her as my girlfriend has dumped me and my dad has moved out. I want to see my big sister so much. I’d like answers as to what went wrong as well.
There’s a space in my life where I feel she should be. Do you think what I’m doing is wrong?
DEIDRE SAYS: No, I don’t. I actually think that it’s great that you’ve contacted her.
She’s your sister and you’re entitled to be in touch with her if that’s what feels right.
I hope that she’s helpful to you.
