Meghan Markle may be all grown up and married to a prince, but that doesn't mean her mother thinks of her any differently than she did the day she brought her home from the hospital.
Doria Ragland has always been close with her daughter and is expected to fly over from the US for the birth of the royal baby very soon.
And if you didn't already think the pair had an incredibly sweet relationship, then you will when you hear of the 62-year-old's nickname for her only child.
According to Meghan's uncle, Joseph Johnson, Doria has always called her daughter "Flower" and continues to do so to this day.
Speaking to Mail Online, Mr Johnson shared rare photos of the former Suits star as a baby and revealed more about her upbringing in the US.
He said that Doria had taught Meghan "love and kindness and a sense of self" as well as the importance of "helping others and having a lot of courage".
The 59-year-old from Fresno, California went on to say that his half-sister had been astonished when she found out her daughter would be marrying Prince Harry .
"All of us were just really, really stunned. Shocked. Especially Doria. She was so excited," he explained. "She was just saying 'My little Flower!' How can this be true? Unbelievable.
"She said: 'My Flower's going to be a Princess, wooh-wooh-wooh!'"
Her uncle's interview comes after Meghan, 37, and Harry moved into Frogmore Cottage on the Queen's Windsor estate to have more privacy ahead of the birth of their first child.
The couple announced they would be keeping details of the baby's arrival under wraps while they celebrate together as a family.
Despite staying out of the spotlight, Mr Johnson claims the Duchess of Sussex "loves" all the attention she's been getting since marrying into the royal family.
He added: "She likes that attention, she's had the schooling, and then being in Hollywood, which is a good type of preparation, so she can handle that.
"I have read that some of Harry's old girlfriends couldn't handle the scrutiny, but from what I hear, from what Doria says about Meghan, she loves it."
