CHELSEA face an injury crisis ahead of their Premier League opener against Brighton next Monday.
The Blues could be without summer signings Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell while Reece James is also a doubt.
Ziyech, 27, twisted his knee during a pre-season friendly last weekend at the Amex.
He limped off injured from his first outing in a Blues shirt with club physios taking no risks ahead of the condensed season.
Chilwell, 23, missed the end of last season with Leicester due to a heel problem.

His last game for the Foxes was the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on July 4, where he was substituted off at half-time.
He was, though, able to pass his medical and seal the £50million switch to Stamford Bridge.
But the England left-back is still not ready to make his debut as he trained alone last week.
Chilwell told the Chelsea website: "I’m feeling really good.
"The injury is healing really well and I’ve been doing a lot of fitness work over the past four or five weeks."
Right-back James faces a race against time to be ready for the 8pm kick-off on the south coast on September 14.
He pulled out of England Under-21 duty with an injury and could have to sit out of the Brighton clash.
With no Chilwell or Ziyech, Frank Lampard may well be forced to dip into his £354m worth of talent in the reserves.
Marcos Alonso would be the obvious solution at left-back while there is no direct replacement at right-wing with Pedro and Willian departing.
That means Callum Hudson-Odoi may start on the right or Mason Mount being pushed further forward is another option.
Back on the grass and feeling good 😁
