Daniel James next club: Man Utd ace set for loan move with Leeds and West Brom keen on January deal, Solskjaer decision

LEEDS and West Brom are leading the race to sign Manchester United winger Daniel James.

That's according to bookmakers Coral, who have the Premier League pair locked together at 2/1 to sign the talented 23-yer-old on a permanent basis or loan.

But they aren't the only two top-flight sides monitoring the Wales international.

Sean Dyche's Burnley and Graham Potter's Brighton are also in the running at 4/1 as they look to bolster their attacking threat.

James looked to have been frozen out under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having been overlooked for seven-consecutive top-flight fixtures.

However, he marked his return to the starting XI with a well-taken goal against Leeds last week.

And he was subsequently included for Boxing Day's 2-2 draw with Leicester at the King Power Stadium.

But despite his mini revival, bookmakers Coral believe he's likely to spend the remainder of the season elsewhere to secure regular first-team opportunities.

Links to Leeds are of no surprise.

Manager Marcelo Bielsa is a huge admirer of the pacey attacker and the Yorkshire club virtually wrapped up his signature before the deal fell through in January 2019.

The Daily Star have also reported that Sam Allardyce's Baggies have entered the race.

It's claimed Big Sam has made contact with United to discuss the possibility of bringing James to the Hawthorns on a short-term basis.

However, Solskjaer and Co. are yet to decide whether or not to green-light a move for James during the winter window.

The 13-time Premier League champions are still under whether their £15m signing will be needed for the remainder of the season.

Former United captain Roy Keane has been impressed with James in recent weeks.

He told Sky Sports: "He's had a tough time. He's had a tough time since he's gone to United. He started off his career at United really well, but had a difficult few months.

"Look at his face, it meant a lot to the kid and I'm delighted for him. Playing for Man United is not as easy as everyone thinks, there's a lot of pressure."
