Daniels rushed to hospital with suspected dislocated kneecap after collapsing in agony making a cross for Bournemouth vs Man City – The Sun

CHARLIE DANIELS was rushed to hospital with a suspected dislocated kneecap having collapsed in agony against Manchester City.

The full-back was injured after making a cross and taken off on the 32nd minute.

It comes after the defender made a return to the squad after a knee injury in March which ruled him out for the end of season run-in.

Daniels was making only his second full appearance before the devastating injury against the Premier League champions.

The Cherries defender was seen on the touchline in crutches with ten minutes remaining at Bramall Lane as he watched Bournemouth trail 3-1 against City.

Following two first-half goals from Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling it was Daniels' replacement Harry Wilson who pulled one back.

His sublime effort riffled into the top corner as the Liverpool loanee took his tally of goals from outside the box to 11 since the start of last term.

Wilson has scored more goals from outside the box since the start of last season than any player in England.

However, Aguero netted his second on the 64th minute and wrapped up the three points for Pep Guardiola's men.

City now trail by two points behind Europeans Champions Liverpool – who top the table after collecting maximum points from their opening three games.
