At the Michigan basketball news conference to introduce its new head coach, Juwan Howard couldn't help himself.
He began to cry even before athletic director Warde Manuel brought him to the podium, Howard could be seen wiping tears away.

Even before Howard spoke, he had to turn away from the microphone to compose himself.
"Tears of joy," Howard said.

Howard later went on to remember that the last time he held a news conference at Crisler Center, then Crisler Arena, it was 1994 when he announced he would forego his senior season to enter the NBA draft.
He said he felt he let down the program because Michigan didn't win a national championship during his playing days.

Howard again broke up as he reflected on his friendship with Jimmy King, is former Fab Five teammate and suite mate.
