The Barcelona forward has told Goal that he will never go to court with his club.

With the Catalans stating that is his only route out right now, other than a rival bidding £630m, he is sticking it out at the Camp Nou.

We are expecting a public announcement on Lionel Messi's future any moment now…

Chris Smalling is on the verge of sealing an £18million switch from Manchester United to Roma.

United were demanding £20million for the defender, but are likely to accept the £18million fee plus bonuses, according to Sky Sports Italy.

The deal seemed to be going nowhere as the Italian outfit were only willing to fork out £15million, which United rejected.

Roma were keen to retain Smalling's services after his impressive year-loan stint with the club.

The 30-year-old revealed he was devastated to be leaving Roma and was willing to take a wage-cut to make the deal happen.

In an emotional post on his Instagram page, Smalling said: “I’m gutted that I can’t finish what we started this season.”

Frank Lampard is set to keep his summer spending going as he targets a new keeper and defensive midfielder.

The Blues boss has already welcomed Hakim Ziyech, 27, Timo Werner, 24, Ben Chilwell, 23, Thiago Silva, 35, and Malang Sarr, 21, into his squad.

But he is due to take his transfer business past £200million as he closes in on a club record deal for 21-year-old Kai Havertz.

The playmaker left his Germany's Nations League squad to allow him to finish off the final stages of his £90m move.

But according to The Telegraph, Lampard is still in the market for a stopper and defence-minded midfielder.

SunSport revealed under-fire Kepa Arrizabalaga will fight for his place at Stamford Bridge, but it will not stop the club from bringing in competition.

It is understood that Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and West Ham's Declan Rice are on Chelsea's radar.

Man Utd may have to settle for signing Sergio Reguilon on-loan from Real Madrid despite making a £27million offer for him.

Despite interest from Tottenham, Paris-Saint Germain, Napoli and Juventus, United are believed to be the only side to have tabled an offer.

That £27m bid was made this week – but they may only land the star for 12 months initially.

Reguilon is still under contract until 2023 and highly-rated by club Bernabeu chiefs after coming through the club’s academy.

And even though Zidane may be happy to sell in order to raise transfer funds, Madrid’s top brass could opt to only loan him out instead, claims Sport.

The defender is open to spending another year at Sevilla and is believed to be hopeful that a change of manager before his deal expires could still result in him being handed an opportunity in the future at Real.

Lionel Messi has DENIED that his Barcelona contract has a £624million release clause as he seeks to leave on a free transfer.

An English tranlation of the statement reads..

Thiago confessed 'Bayern is my home' despite his impending move away amid Manchester United and Liverpool's transfer tug of war.

The midfielder is entering the final year in his contract, with Bayern ready to cash in on the £27million rated Spaniard.

Liverpool remain frontrunners to sign him, with United having announced the £40million signing of Donny van de Beek from Ajax.

But despite speculation linking Thiago with a Bayern exit, he remains focussed on his current club and Spain's Nations League campaign.

He told ZDF: “I only think about the game against Ukraine. Afterwards, we will see.

“Bayern is my home and I am happy to be there.”

Georginio Wijnaldum has refused to rule out a move to Barcelona as speculation ramps up over his possible Liverpool exit.

The Netherlands international has less than a year remaining on his Reds contract and could leave on a free transfer next summer.

The 29-year-old has reportedly agreed a three-year deal to join the Spanish giants, who are hoping to pay Liverpool around £18million.

Wijnaldum is away on international duty with the Netherlands where he broke his silence for the first time on his future.

He said: “They are only rumours. I can't say anything at the moment.”

Wijnaldum – who Barca view as a replacement for Ivan Rakitic – even joked with the media after he was asked whether he could be a key star for the Catalans.

He added: “I thought you were going to ask if I could be an important part of the Dutch team. If you ask me about the 'Orange', I can respond.

Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has reportedly agreed to join Juventus, according to Guillem Balague.

The Old Lady could land him on a nominal fee, or even a free transfer should he negotiate his release from the Catalan club.

Suarez has a year left to run on his deal at the Nou Camp.

The 33-year-old will now link up with old rival Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin.

Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of Spanish striker Miguel Angel Guerrero from Olympiacos.

Lionel Messi has reportedly recorded a statement confirming he will stay at Barcelona for one more season.

The 33-year-old has been offered a £623million contract to join Manchester City after handing in his transfer request.

But Sphera Sports claim the Argentine has decided to see out his contract at the Nou Camp.

Messi's father, who is also his agent, jetted to Spain this week for face-to-face talks with the club bosses.

Jorge confirmed the first time on Thursday that the 33-year-old was considering staying.

When asked whether Messi not leaving was a possibility, he said: “Yes.”

Aston Villa have had a £15million bid for Callum Wilson rejected by Bournemouth.

The Cherries are expecting to sell the England striker, 28, this summer after their relegation but are holding out for closer to £20m.

It remains to be seen if Villa will return with an increased offer – while Newcastle are also understood to be interested.

Bournemouth have already sold Nathan Ake to Manchester City for £41m and Aaron Ramsdale to Sheffield United for £18.5m.

Those exits have eased the need to sell but Wilson and fellow striker Josh King are still likely to follow Ake and Ramsdale out the exit door during this transfer window.

Wilson, who has four caps for his country, still has three years remaining on his £100,000-a-week Cherries contract.

West Brom have announced the signing of Cedric Kipre on a four-year deal.

Lionel Messi's future at Barcelona dominates the front page of Spanish newspaper Sport.

Could the Argentine star remain at the Nou Camp for the last year of his contract?

Kai Havertz has left the Germany camp to complete his Chelsea transfer, reports claim.

The 21-year-old was an unused substitute as Joachim Low's side drew 1-1 with Spain last night.

But despite Die Mannschaft having another match against Switzerland on Sunday, Havertz has left training to travel to London and sign for Chelsea.

According to David Ornstein, Havertz still has to undergo his medical before joining Frank Lampard's side – although an announcement is expected imminently.

Chelsea will end up banking £143MILLION from Eden Hazard's transfer to Real Madrid.

The Belgian midfielder signed a five-year deal with the Spanish giants last summer after seven years in West London.

But the 29-year-old has failed to light up the Bernabeu as many expected, being hit with injury and fitness issues.

But Chelsea won't mind as they will rake in almost £150m from the deal, expertly brokered by director Marina Granovskaia.

According to Voetball, Chelsea received £36m up front when Hazard joined Real last year.

This year they will bank another £50m, and 2021 will see another £57m pour into the Stamford Bridge coffers.

James Rodriguez has been pictured arriving for his Everton medical.

The 29-year-old is set to join Carlo Ancelotti's side on a three-year deal from Real Madrid.

It is believed that the Spanish side have accepted a fee of £22million for the Colombian.

Rodriguez will undergo a medical examination before Everton confirm the move.

He was spotted in Merseyside this morning after dining out Willian and David Luiz's London restaurant last night.

The Colombian star is set to reunite with Carlo Ancelotti for the third time in his career.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has been accused of corruption by Catalan police, according to reports.

The Nou Camp chief has been at the centre of the club's battle against wantaway forward Lionel Messi.

According to Spanish outlet El Mundo, allegations of corruption have been made against the club.

The accusations relate to Barcelona hiring social media agency I3 Ventures to monitor their online activity.

Catalan's police force have filed a report to the judge investigating the case that has resulted in “possible economic crimes”.

It is reported that the Spanish side paid up to 600 per cent above the usual fee for the company's services.

Bartomeu has been accused of making personal financial gains in the case known as Barcagate.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the future of Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira as he nears a return back to Italy.

Torino and Fiorentina are understood to be keen to sign, while there were reports that he could be used in a swap deal for Roma's Amadou Diawara.

However Romano shut those rumours down when replying to a fan on Twitter who asked him the latest on Torreira.

He said: “Both Fiorentina and Torino are in talks with Arsenal for Torreira. Lucas strongly wants to come back to Italy.

“Never had any talk for a swap with Diawara (Arsenal are not interested).

AC Milan are pushing to complete the signing of Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The 26-year-old impressed in Italy two seasons ago during a year-long loan at the San Siro.

And despite 23 appearances on loan for Monaco last term, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is still keen to shift the midfielder.

According to Gianluca Dimarzio, Milan are in the final steps of sealing a deal to sign Bakayoko.

It is understood Milan are pushing for an initial loan with the option to sign Bakayoko for around £20m afterwards.

SunSport understands the Italians are banking on Chelsea settling on a compromise figure of around £15m just to get the flop signing off their bloated wage bill.

Man Utd flop Alexis Sanchez has revealed he wanted to leave and return to Arsenal after his FIRST training session.

The Chilean striker moved to Old Trafford in January 2018, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan going the other way.

Big things were expected of Sanchez when he signed his £505,000-a-week contract for United.

But that saw a miserable return of just five goals in 45 appearances in all competitions before he was shipped off on loan to Inter Milan.

Now, speaking to Pelotoros TV, the 31-year-old has revealed he felt instant regret after joining United.

He said: “After the first training session I had at Manchester United I realized many things.

“And when I got back home I told my agent if I could cancel the contract and go back to Arsenal.”

Joshua King has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Bournemouth star said: “I will not lie, because I really wanted to go there in January, but what happened, happened.

“I know why things happened. We’ll just have to wait and see. There is a lot that is open.

“I have a dream to play in the Champions League.

“Whether it will happen this season or in two years, I do not know. But I have a dream about it that all boys have.

“What if United are still interested? That would be amazing. I was at United for five years and I learned a lot there.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea turned down the chance to sign Miralem Pjanic in a swap deal for Jorginho.

The Italian’s agent Joao Santos said: “Juventus had offered a swap deal including Miralem Pjanic, but the English side didn't take it into consideration.

“[Juve sporting director Fabio] Paratici never called me. Would he have moved to Juventus with Sarri? I think so.”

Finally, Lionel Messi could be left in limbo because of a 'superclub pact' to avoid aggressive tactics over transfers.

Manchester City are the favourites to sign the wantaway Barcelona star.

French champs Paris Saint-Germain are also in the hunt for the six-time Ballon d'Or winner.

But according to Marca, Europe's top clubs have 'an agreement to avoid aggressive tactics'.

And with City and PSG having both been investigated by the Court of Arbitration for Sport over Financial Fair Play in the past, it could mean Messi is out in the cold.

Timothy Castagne claims it won’t take him long to settle in at Leicester City as he has two ready-made Belgian buddies willing to show him the ropes.

The new £18million signing from Atalanta said: “Having teammates at the club can only help me. It has always been my dream to play in the Premier League. It was my priority league over other offers.

“From what I’ve seen and from what Dennis (Praet) and Youri (Tielemans) have told me, Leicester's style of play should suit me.”

Luis Suarez can help Juventus win the Champions League.

That’s according to Rivaldo, who believes the unwanted Barcelona man would be a great signing for Andrea Pirlo.

He told Betfair: “Luís Suárez is reportedly negotiating to join Juventus where he could be part of an important trio with Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala which would certainly generate lots of goals for La Vecchia Signora.

“If that transfer happens, Juventus will have made an excellent signing for next season and give them a better chance of winning the Champions League.”
