La Casa de Papel is coming to an end on Netflix with filming currently taking place on its fifth and final season. At the moment, a lot is unknown about the final series of the Spanish hit. However, in a recent interview, Lisbon star Itziar Ituño teased a bit about what will happen.
The final season of Money Heist has been filming over the past few months ahead of its return to Netflix.
As you might imagine, there’s a lot of secrecy around what will actually happen when it all comes to an end.
Among the things which have been revealed are how two new cast members are joining the show – Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Patrick Criado.
As well as this, creator Álex Pina has confirmed the series will see the conclusion of the Bank of Spain heist.
He told Entertainment Weekly back in July: “The adrenaline mixed with feelings arising from absolutely complex, magnetic, unforeseeable characters will continue until the end of the heist to the Bank of Spain.
“However, the gang will now be pushed into irreversible situations, into a wild war: it is the most epic part of all the parts we’ve shot.”
Now one of the stars has also given an update on the ending, revealing a bit about what people can expect.
Speaking to Spanish publication Vertele, Lisbon actor Ituño opened up about the “powerful” final outing.
She said about the upcoming season: “I’m having a great time.
“I can’t tell anything at all, because it’s the code we have, but what I’ve read so far is powerful.”
However, she was also keen to point out how even she doesn’t know how it will end yet.
Ituño explained: “I don’t really know how things are going to go because they give us the information in droplets.

“We learn about the story as we receive the scripts. It is a surprise where everything is going.”
She added: “We are going to see how everything unfolds because I still don’t know the ending. I am extremely intrigued.”
In the Netflix documentary Money Heist: The Phenomenon earlier this year, it was revealed the writers script the show as they film it.
Therefore, it is possible they’ve not worked out exactly how the show will end just yet.
As a result, viewers will just have to keep waiting for the series to drop to learn the truth.
Season five will feature 10 episodes in total, which is longer than past outings.
However, as of yet, no release date has been confirmed by Netflix.
As soon as any more is revealed about the final season, Express.co.uk will keep fans updated.
Money Heist seasons 1 to 4 are available to stream on Netflix now.
