The X Factor final opened with 'Baby Shark' and viewers are so confused-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo

The X Factor opened with a mind-bending performance of ‘Baby Shark’ and viewers could barely believe it.

The live final continued on Sunday night (December 2), with a lot of viewers expecting the show to open with the much-anticipated reunion of Take That and Robbie Williams.

However, what they actually got was a performance of ‘Baby Shark’ from Eric Cowell and friends after Simon declared that his son was the new boss running the show – which was all very bizarre.

If you didn’t catch it live, you can check it out below:

Suffice to say, that a lot of viewers were SO confused by the performance and not really feeling it.

Below are a few of their reactions – with strong language:

“Nup its The X Factor final and they are doing baby shark,” said one viewer. “Cancel it.”

“Reason number 1,000,001 to love Louis Tomlinson,” added another. “He refused to stand for Baby Shark.”

“When the show kicks off with ‘Baby Shark’ and you’re not sure if you’re watching The X Factor CBeebies,” added another.

That said, not everyone was hating on the ‘Baby Shark’ performance.

Here are some of its defenders:

“Cant get over ‘Baby Shark’ as the opening that was sooooooo awesome I literally love that song,” said one viewer.

“Loving a bit of ‘Baby Shark’ on The X Factor,” said another.
