Six people were injured when an FDNY fire engine collided with a car, then crashed through a Brooklyn storefront on Sunday night, authorities said.
The accident occured as the truck was responding to a reported fire at 8750 Bay Parkway at about 11:30 p.m., the FDNY said.
The truck collided with a Mercedes before barreling inside Coquette Kids clothing store on Avenue U and East 4th Street in Gravesend, police said.
The Mercedes driver and five firefighters were taken to local hospitals, authorities said.
Five occupants from the building next to Coquette Kids were evacuated for precautionary reasons, the FDNY said.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
