Amy Dowden’s show-stopping pink satin bow dress went down a treat as she posed up a storm on the red carpet
Amy Dowden looked absolutely sensational as she prepared for the Pride of Britain Awards 2023 this evening, along with some of her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars.
Proudly baring her bald head after shaving it following chemotherapy-related hair loss, 34-year-old Amy also donned a long pale pink one-shouldered gown.
Aljaz Skorjanec filmed his wife Janette Manrara, who gave birth to their baby daughter Lyra Rose this summer, and fellow Strictly stars Amy and Dianne Buswell, in footage posted to his 570,000 Instagram followers.
Amy’s co-stars have been a constant source of support for her, cheering her up, boosting her morale and even giving their guidance on which length and colour wigs she should wear for major moments.
Yet when she returned to Strictly in a special appearance this weekend – and when she showed up at Pride of Britain’s red carpet – Amy decided to rock her natural shaved hairdo, after saying she wanted to “bring normality to a beautiful bald head”.
No matter whether the dancefloor star has long locks or no hair at all, her sheer stage presence is guaranteed to make her a huge hit wherever she appears.
Amy Dowden smiled radiantly on the red carpet at Pride of Britain, looking like she was enjoying a break from the constant rounds of chemotherapy she’s suffered
Amy Dowden couldn’t stop smiling for fellow pro dancer Aljaz Skorjanec’s camera, as she posed alongside Strictly pals Janette Manrara and Dianne Buswell
Despite battling a mastectomy, a life-threatening bout of sepsis and gruelling sessions of chemotherapy this year, Amy Dowden is confident she can beat breast cancer – and the smile on her face shows she’s determined to enjoy life while trying
