The Barbie movie's incredible glittering cast has been unveiled three months before the highly-anticipated movie finally reaches cinema screens, and there's a whole host of modern takes on the classic doll toy.
While Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling play the original and first Barbie and Ken, complete with platinum blonde hair and dazzling smiles to boot, the last two decades have seen a great boost in diversity for the Mattel brand.
What's more, the Barbie ladies have also got jobs, and crucially, not everyone is blonde.
As Hollywood finally took the plunge to adapt this incredibly popular children's toy, they've done so with a varied collection of characters and current stars so the new generation can hopefully find new love for the popular toy.
Singer Duo Lipa plays an electric blue haired mermaid doll, decked head to toe in matching shiny underwater accessories.
Sex Education star Emma Mackey dons an olive green 50s style dress and a pink hairband to play the Barbie with a "Nobel Prize in Physics".
Sharon Rooney brings some Legally Blonde style to the film as lawyer Barbie, and wears her long wavy locks half-up with a lilac power suit to finish.
Bridgerton actress Nicola Coughlan turns the style stakes up a notch in a pink and sequinned tulle gown, Ariel-style bright red locks and baby pink lipstick to finish. The Irish beauty will be playing Barbie as a diplomat in the movie.
Other major Barbies in the movie include Issa Rae as President Barbie, who rocks a curly brunette mane and a pale pink and gold sash for her role.
Comic genius Kate McKinnon is "always in the splits," and looks the least un-Barbie like with her choppy 80s-style blonde bob and alternative outfits.
Other Kens include Marvel star Simu Liu, Scott Evans as a Malibu Ken, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Ncuti Gatwa.
While the other Barbies are Ana Cruz Kayne as a Supreme Court Justice, Hari Nef playing a doctor, Ritu Arya, playing Barbie with a Pulitzer prize, and Alexandra Shipp as a celebrated author.
And finally, one of the most iconic figures in the Barbie franchise is Midge, a comic rival to the leading star, who will be played by Call the Midwife's Emerald Fennell.
In the new film, Midge has auburn tresses and oozes 60s Flower Power vibes with a deep purple floral dress. She's also heavily pregnant.
The character is married to Allan, a similarly unpopular Barbie character who is played by Michael Cera in the film.
He embodies bright red-head locks and a vintage rainbow sweater for his off-beat look.
The character was introduced to the franchise in 1964 as "Ken's friend," a year later than Midge and Barbie's fellow best friend Skipper, and was named after the son-in-law of Mattel co-founder Ruth Handler. Both characters were discontinued after the 60s.
Also starring in the movie are some big names as more mysterious side characters in the Barbie universe.
Jamie Demetriou is a serious and grumpy looking "suit", while Connor Swindells appears as an "intern or something".
Dame Helen Mirren is the narrator, and Will Ferrell also has a major role in the story, with a tagline that simply says "please call me mother".
America Ferrera and Ariana Greenblatt will also play humans in the film.
Fans went into meltdown over the cast announcements, with some even wondering if the filmmakers had accidentally revealed a connection between another toy adaption.
"Barbie and Lego in the same cinematic universe confirmed with Will Ferrell," one person guessed.
While other fans were excited at the amount of Sex Education cast in the new film, as one posted in the comments: "HALF THE CAST OF SEX EDUCATION ON THIS MOVIE LMAOOOOO."
"y’all collecting the sex education cast like infinity stones," another joked.
The film is set for release on July 21 and a trailer released in December opened with a comical parody of classic science-fiction epic 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Directed by filmmaker Greta Gerwig, 39, the film is a joint project between Warner Bros and Barbie manufacturer Mattel. The brand, which was launched in 1959, has previously seen animated adaptations including Barbie In The Nutcracker, Barbie As Rapunzel and Barbie Of Swan Lake.
