Nina Warhurst, 42, has today shared how she “cried twice” while watching performers at Eurovision 2023.

The BBC Breakfast star is based in Liverpool for the week to bring coverage of the music contest for the public broadcaster.

Uploading a number of photos to her Instagram, pregnant Nina typed: “Eurovision winner, host and 360 shiny bon viveur @manszelmerlow invited us to his bedroom to record last night’s podcast.

“It’s an analysis of the dress rehearsal of the first semi-final.

“Some people bookmark their lives through birthdays, deaths and weddings. For me, it’s #Eurovision that takes me straight back to a time and place.

“After all these years last night was my first time actually watching performers live in the arena… So if I cried twice in the first half hour SUE ME WHY DON’T YA.

“I hope the UK throws itself in to the beauty, chaos, inclusivity and wonder of this week. It’s the best of people and it’s gonna be a ride (search Eurovisioncast @bbcsounds )#whatsinthebox.”

In the first image, Nina can be seen smiling while sitting on a bed with her colleagues, Ngunan Adamu, Daniel Rosney and Mas Zelmerlow.

She is then seen posing inside the stadium alongside Daniel and Mas, before sharing the countries taking part in the first semi-final.

In response to her post, fans gushed over her cropped brunette hairstyle and blossoming baby bump.

Nina recently revealed she is pregnant with her third child.

The long-serving news presenter shared the happy news on Mother’s Day, as she debuted her sizeable bump in front of the iconic red sofa on the BBC One show.

In the candid post, Nina shared a few snaps of her breakouts, unusual cravings as well as relaxed moments with her young children at home.

She wrote: “It’s been a funky few months… involving intense migraines, vomiting, morning kebabs, first-time acne, small acts of violence against fruit, afternoon kebabs, tears, spontaneous snoozes, anxiety and more kebabs.

“I am settling into the middle chunk (emphasis on chunk) and enjoying the wonders of Mother Nature and her tiny kicks and flutters.

“The boys and the cat have been enjoying their new chair. God willing, Baby Doner-Shish joins the outside world in the summer.”

She finished the post: “Sending love to those who’ve had to say goodbye to the babies they lost and the ones they dreamed of.”

Eurovision continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
