Britney Spears’ bodyguard lifts the lid on chaotic life: ‘She didn’t shower for days’

Britney Spears has been left feeling like she "can’t trust anyone", a source has told OK! , after the 41-year-old singer found herself
at the centre of bombshell drug allegations last week.

According to allegations made by journalist Daphne Barak, Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline – who was married to the Toxic singer between 2004 and 2007 – had expressed concern over the singer’s substance abuse and vulnerable state, claiming that their sons Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, had witnessed worrying drug-related activity at her Los Angeles home.

Kevin, 45, was quick to deny Barak’s allegations, calling the story "lies" and "repulsive".

And our source exclusively tells OK! that Britney is now "feeling completely torn".

Having also dismissed the claims, she is understandably in a state of confusion about who to trust, despite Kevin’s denials of what he’s condemned as "clickbait".

"Britney wants to believe that Kevin and her sons didn’t make the allegations, but she knows that other members of her family have sold stories on her in the past," continued the source.

"She’s living a really lonely life and no longer knows where to turn."

Clearly hurt and confused by the drama, Britney took to Instagram to say, "The fact that people are claiming things that are not true is so sad… It doesn’t make any sense to me for them to be saying that. It makes me sad because I tried so hard to make things nice for you and it was never good enough. So you guys go behind my back and talk about me…".

Adding fuel to the fire was Britney’s father Jamie Spears, 70, whose 13-year-long conservatorship over his daughter ended in 2021.

In the same report, he is said to have aired concerns that his daughter would meet the same fate as singer Amy Winehouse, who died of alcohol poisoning in 2011 at the age of 27.

"The idea of 'family' is something really scary to Britney because of the control that some members used to have over
her," the source continued.

"But she equally doesn’t want her paranoia and the influence of the press to destroy the prospect of one day fully rekindling her relationship with her boys. She doesn’t know whose side her family are on."

In addition, one of the star’s former employees exclusively tells OK! that his former boss appears to have "surrounded herself with people that don’t have her best interests at heart".

Bodyguard Fernando Flores claims that although some are hopeful that Britney’s husband Sam Asghari, 29, might provide some stability for her, he has doubts.

"Since she met Sam, some of her most loyal bodyguards have been let go," he told us.

"Her dad has also been cut off and although the conservatorship was not perfect, I never doubted the love he had for
his daughter."

Fernando continued, "If Sam really cares for Britney, he should be making sure she gets the care she needs to get her life back on track. He should be helping her with her career. He should be bending over backwards to heal the rift with her family and make sure she can see her children again. In my opinion he seems more obsessed with becoming a film star and looking after himself."

Britney has certainly endured her fair share of trauma since she shot to fame in 1999.

In 2007 – the year Britney checked herself into rehab – a California judge described her as "a habitual, frequent and continuous" user of alcohol and prescription drugs.

In 2008, Britney was placed under the 13-year conservatorship arrangement with her father that an LA judge would later describe as "abusive".

But while her fans were thrilled when Britney was finally released from the conservatorship, there are still many questions around her lifestyle.

Back in April, the star posted videos on Instagram of herself dancing erratically in a thong, which prompted many of her followers to express concern for her wellbeing.

Let’s hope she’s getting all the support she needs.
