Celebrity kids who followed in their parents footsteps as Simon Cowell wants son to ‘stay behind camera’

TV mogul, entrepreneur and music producer Simon Cowell has been a staple to TV British pop culture and is known globally.

With his name firmly attached to shows such as The X-Factor, Britain's Got Talent, America's Got Talent and American Idol, to name a few, you will be hard-pressed to find someone who has not seen or heard of a project Simon has worked on.

The 62 year, is known for his dry wit and, at times, nasty comments on reality TV shows. He has been known to say quips like "You sounded like Dolly Parton on helium" and "In every single way, that was just everything I hated."

Like Marmite, whether you love or hate him, the audience tunes in to see him, and he might be the only Cowell we see onscreen for a while.

While at the Together For Short Lives charity ball, patron Simon recently said that he would prefer his son to stay behind the scenes.

The charity ball, which was sponsored by M&S Food and held in partnership with OK! magazine, aims to raise £300,000 to allow families caring for children with life limiting conditions to make the most of the time they have together.

With his seven year old son showing an interest in show business when Simon was asked if he wanted son Eric to follow in his footsteps, he said: "I'll be happy as long as he stays behind the camera."

We might only have one Cowell on our screens for the foreseeable future, but there are plenty of other family fixes for us to enjoy.
