Darius Campbell Danesh’s ex-wife, actress Natasha Henstridge, has spoken out after his death at the age of 41, saying there are ‘no words’.
The Pop Idol star was found dead in his US apartment, his family confirmed, and his cause of death remains unknown.
Natasha, who started dating Campbell Danesh in 2004 and tied the knot with him in 2011, shared a string of sweet photos of the pair of them.
She wrote: ‘I have found the paradox that is you love until it hurts. there can be no more hurt- Only more love -Mother Theresa.
‘There are no words Darius… only Love Love Love. Forever Janam.’
Natasha and Campbell Danesh tied the knot on Valentine’s Day in 2011 at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.
However, two years after their nuptials, they filed for divorce and it was finalised in 2018.
Campbell Danesh’s death was announced in a statement on Tuesday reading: ‘It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darius Campbell Danesh.
‘Darius was found unresponsive in bed in his apartment room in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11 and was pronounced dead in the afternoon by the local medical examiners’ office.
‘The local police department have confirmed that there were no signs of intent or suspicious circumstances. The cause of his sudden death is unknown at this stage while medical examinations continue.
‘We ask that you kindly respect our wishes for privacy at this time whilst we come to terms with the tragic loss of our son and brother.’
The Scottish singer-songwriter and actor, who was born in Glasgow, rose to fame when he appeared on Popstars in 2001 with a performance of Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time that would go down in TV history. He went on to appear on Pop Idol and reach the finals.
Campbell Danesh’s debut single, Colourblind, was released in 2002 and shot straight to number one in the UK. He was also an accomplished theatre actor.
Stars including Simon Cowell and Gareth Gates have paid tribute to the late singer.
