EastEnders star Danielle Harold has sparked romance rumours with former co-star Jamie Borthwick as they enjoyed a sweet “date night” together on Thursday evening.
The duo’s romance started on screen as Dannielle’s character, Lola Pearce, was married to Jamie’s character, Jay Brown, before she sadly passed away in the summer.
Danielle played Lola from 2011 to 2015 and returned to Albert Square in 2019, staying on screen until her character's death this year. EastEnders fans were left in tears by heartbreaking scenes of Lola's death from brain cancer which aired on 31 May.
Since leaving the show, Dannielle has been keeping her fans updated on her social media and shared a hilarious picture of her co-star on Thursday evening as they attended a live concert together.
Dannielle first shared a snap of a performer dancing to jazz music before she shared a video of Jamie singing Murder On the Dance Floor to the camera while pulling funny faces.
The former soap star captioned over the video: “Date night with @jamie_10 always a treat”, followed by two pink heart emojis.
This isn’t the first time Dannielle has sparked romance rumours with her former co-star, as she shared some cosy-looking snaps on a night out earlier this year.
The duo both attended the Broadcast Awards where Dannielle posted several clips from her time spent with Jamie at the star-filled event. Viewers saw the pair laughing and staying by each other’s side throughout the evening.
Among the posts shared on Instagram Stories, Jamie and Danielle were seen in one photo standing close to one another as they posed for a mirror selfie, with Jamie lent over Danielle’s shoulder.
Danielle captioned: “My love”, adding a heart emoji, leading to suspicion of a possible romance between the soap stars.
Actor Jamie previously discussed his close relationship with Danielle, telling The Sun: “We have a laugh on set, we know each other inside out, and we know what makes each other laugh. I’ve got Danielle’s back, and she’s got my back; we’re extremely close."
He added: “We know when it’s time to be serious, we know when it’s time to be silly."
Dannielle addressed the rumours at the time to Fabulous magazine and said: “I always say Jamie is the husband I never wanted or asked for, but nonetheless got.”
