Ellie Goulding and her ex-boyfriend Ed Sheeran were spotted watching and celebrating England’s fantastic win in Wembley on Tuesday.

The pair have had a tumultuous past, with many fans still convinced Ed’s iconic song, Don’t, is about the Burn hitmaker.

Ed, 30, attended the match with his wife Cherry Seaborn – with whom he shares daughter Lyra – and they were seated next to football legend David Beckham.

Ellie, 34, was seated a row behind the pair in the Royal Box at Wembley Stadium with her husband Caspar Jopling, who she recently welcomed son Arthur with.

The group were having a fantastic time as they supported England playing against Germany in a truly iconic Euro game for the nation.

It was also the first time England had beaten their infamous opposer ahead of the quarter finals, so spirits were high up on the stands.

As the match came to an explosive and thrilling end that saw England secure the win with two-nil, Ed shrugged his navy puffa jacket on and everyone turned around to chat to each other for a few minutes.

The Perfect singer could be seen facing new mum Ellie as the group gathered round sharing some laughs.

Ellie wowed in a stunning red and pink long-sleeved dress, with her blonde locks styled to perfection with a bouncy blow dry.

The group sat rows behind Prince William, Kate Middleton and their son George who looked adorable in a suit just like his dad.

Ed and Ellie were suspected to have dated following an image that surfaced of the pair holding hands at the MTV VMA Awards in 2013.

Fans then forged a theory about why the the pair broke up when Ellie was linked to fellow singer, One Direction's Niall Horan.

This came from Ed’s song Don’t, in which the lyrics say he had a “famous ex” who makes money in “the same way” as him, and ended up “physically involved with a friend in the same hotel we were staying in, while I was downstairs”.

In an interview with Billboard magazine Ed insisted that the song lyrics were “100 per cent true”, but didn’t mention Ellie.

“The story in Don’t is 100 per cent true. I could have gotten nastier — there was more s**t that I didn’t put in,” he said.

While neither star has officially said they were dating at the time of the VMAs, Ed also told US radio show Clock 98.9: “I mean, normal people don’t hold hands if they’re just friends.”

Ellie then countered the whole thing in an interview with Elle magazine in 2015.

“I did go on a few dates with Niall, but I was never in a relationship with Ed,” she explained.

“I have absolutely no idea where that came from and why it was turned into such a big thing.”

Whatever happened between the pair, it looks like things are completely fine and amicable now!
