Gabriel Luna has joined the cast of the upcoming HBO series The Last of Us, which is an adaptation of the best-selling video game franchise.
The 38-year-old actor is best known for his role as Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider on the ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and as Gabriel/REV-9 in Terminator: Dark Fate.
The Last of Us “takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel (Pedro Pascal), a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse across the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.”
Gabriel will be playing Joel’s younger brother Tommy, “a former soldier who hasn’t lost his sense of idealism and hope for a better world,” according to Deadline.
The creator of the show previously confirmed some news about the character Ellie.
