Dan Osborne is in hot water with his wife Jacqueline Jossa for dragging up their turbulent past once again, a source told new! magazine.

Last week, Dan, 29, lifted the lid on his relationship with 28-year-old Jac, referencing the cheating rumours that have surfaced against him in the past.

He insisted, “We are at a completely different stage to that. Any mistakes are in the past now. Our chemistry is still strong.”

“It’s strange that Dan brought up the past again. You would think he’d try to avoid all conversation about that now, as they are really trying to move on from it. I think Jacqueline would have felt a bit annoyed about that,” our source claimed. “His family don’t want to keep hearing stuff like that. Jacqueline won’t want to hear it. She will be asking Dan why he’s brought up negative rumours again and reminded everyone of the past, when they’ve turned over a new leaf.

“Dan said some lovely things about Jacqueline too, but it’s a kick in the teeth when they’ve been putting on such a united front. She feels there’s no reason to mention it.”

OK! has reached out to representatives for Jacqueline for comment.

In 2018, Dan was accused of cheating on his wife with Love Island star Gabby Allen, which they both denied, and he was also linked to his Celebrity Big Brother housemates Chloe Ayling and Natalie Nunn.

Dan has denied any wrongdoing, but he made reference to the rumours last week when asked if he worried about his children reading stories about him.

Dan, who has two daughters, Ella, six, and Mia, two, with Jacqueline, as well as seven-year-old son Teddy from a previous relationship, insisted, “I’ve had people say that one day my kids are going to read these stories about me, blah, blah, blah.

“I don’t care about things like that. My kids know me better than anyone in the world. They aren’t going to care what some random person has said about their dad.”

The couple’s marriage was also put to the test during last summer’s lockdown, when Jac temporarily moved out of their family home for her mental health.

She later said, “I felt there was a lot of pressure on me. I couldn’t be in the same house as Dan.”

However, Dan has recently insisted that the couple are “closer now” than ever before, and are content in their new £1.2 million Essex mansion, which they moved into last month.

Opening up about navigating their relationship day to day, Dan added, “If Jacqueline has the hump about something, I won’t bring it up that she’s in a bad mood. I’ll just crack on and I know she’ll be fine. She just needs a little while and it’s the same with me. We now understand each other a lot better.”

And it’s clear Dan is still very much in love with his wife.

“Jacqueline is an amazing mum, an unbelievable mum,” he gushed about the former EastEnders star. “She’s just a great person. She’s got a heart of gold. She is a loving person.”

And you know what they say, as long as the love is still there, the rest is easy…
