Davidson, who turns 70 in December, put the home in Stockbridge, Hampshire, on the market for £1.85million this summer after news broke of marriage breakdown.
Last night he revealed he had lowered the asking price to £1½million “so we can both move on with our lives”.
Cockney Jim, former host of BBC1’s The Generation Game and Big Break, revealed that the couple were parting after fourteen years of marriage in April.
Their stunning riverside home, Lillie Cottage, was built in the early 19th century and was originally the staff wing to neighbouring Langtry House, which was used by King Edward VII for his romantic liaisons with actress Lillie Langtry.
Speaking exclusively to the Sunday Express Jim said, “We both love that house and we’re gutted to leave, but life has to move on.

“Our divorce is amicable and we’re still great friends but we have to leave this chapter behind and get on with our lives.”
He and former hairdresser Michelle had been together for twenty years.
No other parties were involved in their marriage breakdown.
Friends blame their separation on the pressure of work since Jim launched his own streaming channel Ustreme three years ago.
Said one, “Jim has a lot on his plate. As well as his stand-up shows, he has to constantly find or film new content for the channel. It’s a lot of pressure. It takes over his life sometimes and that’s not always easy for the people around him.”
The Sunday Express broke the news of his latest divorce in April. That week Davidson told the audience at the Concorde Club, Eastleigh, about the separation adding: “I’m only doing half the set tonight because my wife will want the other half.”
He also joked on stage: “My next wife will either have to be under 47 or over the age of 60. No more menopausal madness!”
Off-stage he said, “I’m all right. It’s sad but you’ve got to crack on.”
In previous interviews, Jim has cited Michelle’s temper as the reason their relationship had endured.
He said on ITV: “She is a very nice person. She’s impatient, she’s fiery like me. She’s a bear-poker and her mum says, ‘Well you need that!'”

“I hope I’m with Michelle for the rest of my life, there’s no one better I’d want to spend the rest of my life with… Liz Hurley perhaps?”
Davidson has wed five times. His previous marriages were to Sue Walpole (1971-1972), Julie Gullick (1981-1986), Alison Holloway (1987-1988), and Tracy Hilton (1990-2000).
He has five adult children, one with his first wife Sue, one with his second wife Julie and three with former Page 3 girl Tracy Hilton.
The star, whose TV career was launched on ITV’s New Faces in 1976, has said he has spent “many millions” on his divorces and was declared bankrupt in 2006.
The former host of the Generation Game and Big Break was arrested by Operation Yewtree detectives in 2014 following allegations of sexual assault.
Davidson was never charged and the investigation was dropped nine months later. He went on to win Celebrity Big Brother.
