Kate Middleton sure knows a thing or two on being a mum as she's done a stellar job at bringing up her gorgeous children – Princess Charlotte, six, Prince Louis, three, and Prince George, eight, with husband Prince William.

Meanwhile over in the States, Meghan Markle is a doting mum to Archie, who turned two in May, and baby Lilibet, who was born un June this year.

And the public have now shown their support for the two royals, with the two Duchesses been named as "refreshingly real" and inspiring motherhood figures for many.

Nearly one in five (17%) of UK mums believe Kate – who recently made 'no secret' of wanting a fourth child with Wills – is a positive example for parents across the nation when it comes to the realities of parenthood.

New baby brand Kendamil adds that the brunette beauty, 39, particularly resonates with mums looking after little ones aged five (23%) – influenced by six-year-old Prince Charlotte falling close to this age.

In addition, Kate and William, also 39, are voted as the most-admired members of the monarchy; with the Prince closely following his wife with 12% of the vote.

Meanwhile, Meghan, 40, who is set to return to the spotlight after Lilibet's birth is shown in a 24-hour TV show, scored an 11% as a positive role model to UK mums after welcoming little Lili and two year old Archie with the Duke of Sussex.

The Duchess gave birth to her first daughter Lilibet back in June, and while we haven't seen much of the Duke's gorgeous second child, we know Meghan does everything in her power to be the best mum she can be.

She and Harry are requesting a formal christening for baby Lilibet at Windsor Castle, it was previously reported.

Despite the royals not meeting the newest addition to the family yet, the couple are reportedly keen to introduce their baby daughter Lili to her namesake great grandmother before Christmas.

"The Queen is still very fond of Harry, and would love to see Lilibet and her brother Archie," a source told The Sun.

Kate and William have often been praised for "breaking the norm" by showing their children affection in public, like getting down to eye level to reassure them.

The mum of three is often looked up to for her children’s remarkable behaviour, but we all know how cheeky the little royals can be – and Kate has coded phrases which she'll use when the tots are playing up.

After she recently said Prince George got "very upset" during homeschooling, Kate’s favourite phrase to keep her children from misbehaving was recently revealed to be: "Let’s take a break," instead of using: "Calm down."

Dr. Rebecca Chicot, the founder of Essential Parent and the author of the Calm and Happy Toddler, explained: "It’s very hard for any parent to have to parent in public.

"She seems to be good at making warm contact 'touch to the head' which is a nice connection. She gets down to their level to talk to them but let’s them be children. She has a lovely balance of sensitivity and gentle boundaries."

She adds: "She doesn’t expect them to behave like little adults and knows that children go through perfectly natural stages like tantrums."

Aside from the royal family, it's no surprise that Loose Women star and Instagram sensation Stacey Solomon scored a whopping 32% when the public were asked which celebrity parents were best at setting a good example for other parents.

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner Giovanna Fletcher came in second place with 22%, while Joe Wicks and Peter Andre were voted as the top dads as they scored 14% and 13% from the UK public.
