Kevin Clifton, 38, enrolled on a programme with life coach Tony Robbins and now credits the latter for turning his life around. The former Strictly Come Dancing star said he left the experience feeling “very different” after “losing” himself.
I was at my lowest point in my life, I felt like I had completely lost myself.

Alongside his former Strictly co-star Oti Mabuse, who also did the course, he discussed how it had changed his life.
He said: “For me, since I’ve been pursuing this kind of information and learning this kind of stuff, and more importantly, applying it, everything has changed.
“I don’t think it’s a coincidence like in 2018, before I went to the Tony Robbins course, I was a broken man.
“I had things going on in my life, I was at my lowest point in my life, I felt like I had completely lost myself.
“I went to this Tony Robbins course, and had some other mentors that I talked to, and came out of that experience feeling very different and feeling more myself than I had in a long time.
“It’s not about changing who you have to be at all, it’s actually getting really in touch with who you are.
“Once I worked through all that, I felt completely different.”
Kevin went on to point out that he and Oti had both won Strictly respectively after doing the course.
The latter won the show with Kelvin Fletcher in 2019 followed by Bill Bailey last year.
“It’s not a coincidence,” he added on his The Kevin Clifton Show podcast.
The dancer won the BBC show for the first time in 2018 with Stacey Dooley, who he is now dating.
Before their Strictly stint, he had split from his third wife Karen Hauer.

At the time, he said in a statement: “We’re still the best of friends – we’ve got a lot of love and respect for each other.
“What we’ve found is that since we’ve been honest with each other about our relationship, we’ve unlocked this new wealth of creativity and we’re taking our professional relationship to the next level now.”
After winning Strictly, Stacey split from her boyfriend at the time Sam Tucknott and began dating Kevin.
In 2020, he announced he had left the show to focus on other opportunities.
Speaking to Express.co.uk last year when Kevin’s girlfriend hosted the Strictly tour, Karen said there is no bad blood between them.
She said: “As long as he was happy that’s all that matters to me, but no, relationships happen as long as they’re both happy I’m happy for them.
“I love Stacey. She’s a great person, she’s fun and we absolutely get on.
“We get on really well so it’s lovely to have her on the [Strictly] tour.”
Karen later moved on from Kevin with dancer David Webb, however their relationship came to an end in September.
