Little Mix vow to reunite within three years as they ‘can’t live without each other’

Originally a creation of the X Factor, popular girl-band Little Mix are taking a break as a band but the three remaining members say they’ll reunite within three years as they “can’t live without each other”.

Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock announced back in December they are taking a break from the band to focus on separate projects, but insisted they were not splitting up.

In a last interview as a group with The Sun, the three members revealed despite all going to work on their own material, they will not be competing with each other and are “rooting for each other”.

With Jade, 29, signing with a solo deal with RCA Records and Leigh-Anne, 30, signing a contract with Warner, the girls are adamant their solo careers won’t clash with each other.

Perrie, 28, told the publication: “We’ve all said we will let each other know when we’re going to release so we don’t end up clashing in the charts. We’re rooting for each other, not competing against each other.”

Jade, reiterated Perrie’s sentiment. She said: “It’s just not going to happen. There will be a conscious effort from all of us to make sure of that.”

Leigh-Anne also agreed adding: “We are so close and that’s the thing. We’re all going to be in communication about this the whole time.”

Despite the trio working on solo projects, they are adamant this is not the last we’ve seen of Little Mix, that were the first group to ever win the X Factor.

Perrie said: “Honestly, we haven’t even parted ways yet and we’re already talking about when we’re coming back! We’re like: ‘is two years away enough? Two and a bit years?’.”

Jade agreed, she said: “You can’t deny our relationship – whenever anyone comes to watch the show or sees us in interviews or on social media it’s pretty obvious that we can’t actually live without each other.

“We know how phenomenal we are together, so why would we never want to do that again? Change has to happen in life, you have to move on at some point and try new things, but it’s such a comfort to know we have each other to come back to.

“We don’t know how long this will be for but I’m already ready for that reunion!”

The girls’ final performance – for now – will be next Saturday on their Confetti tour which is the first time Little Mix has toured as a trio since Jest Nelson left the band in 2020.
