Love Island star pulls out of show appearance after falling ill ahead of final

Chloe Burrows cancelled her scheduled Love Island: Aftersun appearance on Sunday due to a nightmarish stomach bug.

Having intended on joining best friend and fellow Islander Millie Court – who won the very same series Chloe starred on, alongside ex-boyfriend Liam Reardon – on the spin-off show, the 27 year old blonde influencer gave her Instagram followers the full feverish exclusive as she was sadly forced out of action.

The first of four candid updates read: "I've had the worst stomach bug ALL day so don't judge me if I look clapped x," while the next one directly addressed her Aftersun absence.

"Had so many messages about me not being on after sun last [night] and sadly I had to pull out last minute as I've caught the worst stomach bug ever [crying emoji] – like I've never ever been ill like this!! I am being looked after by the lovely Love Island team and hoping to feel better for the final tonight x."

Chloe's penultimate post saw the funny side of her dire situation at least.

"If you're coming to South Africa make sure you bring 100 packets of Imodium x cos boy x these past 24 hours have been HELL," she urged her 1.6 million fans.

Further along it was time for some good(ish) news, as the reality TV star confirmed that she'd be in attendance for Monday's grand finale of Love Island.

"Managed to put some make up on but there's no hiding the fact I may potentially s**t myself this evening x," Chloe captioned a quick video.

"I was meant to wear this sickest outfit but I can't wear anything tight on my stomach LOL […] Hope you're all tuned into the final!"

Meanwhile, as the dating competition – there's £50,000 at stake, remember – reaches the business end of things, OK! columnist Danica Taylor has argued why Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan are this year's Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.

"I absolutely love watching Kai and Sanam! While they are, of course, stunning Islanders, they seem like such a wholesome couple who aren’t focussed on being famous," she began.

"Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure they’ll love the celebrity lifestyle when they leave the villa but I can’t see them ever losing sight of who they were before the show.

"They really make sense to me as winners. I’d love to see them take the £50k and enjoy fame for what it is, but stay sensible and start a new life with the cash as the whirlwind dies down.

"I can really see them lasting and in two or three years, being an Alex [Bowen] and Olivia [Buckland], or Molly-Mae and Tommy."
