Love Island’s first summer 2023 star ‘unveiled’ as hunky fashion designer

Andre Furtado, 21, from Dudley has reportedly been lined up as one of the contestants to join ITV2’s Love Island this summer.

Heartthrob Andre recently finished his three-year degree in business economics and is the co-founder of the fashion line Social Kids.

A source told MailOnline: “Andre is the perfect Love Island signing.”

They added that he is: “Cool, calm, collected, and ready to mingle.

“He knows himself but without being arrogant and producers are hoping his intellect, as well as his creativity and handsome looks will make him a favourite among the females.” (sic)

With over 1740 followers, the entrepreneur has kept quite private with only 12 stylish snaps on Instagram.

However, he appears more active on TikTok where he shares behind-the-scenes of events, motivational quotes, reviews and photo slideshows.

He recently replied to a fan about his fashion inspirations during a Q&A.

“A lot of people to be honest, from all of the guys at SK to my boy from work. Wide variety, I’m trying to diversify my style more though.”

As speculation mounts over who will join the popular dating show this summer, ITV told The Sun: “This is speculation, our line-up will be announced in due course.”

Although the line-up has not been announced yet, it has been confirmed that the new series will kick off on Monday, June 5.

Kai Fagan, 24, and Sanam Harrinanan, 24, won the £50,000 prize for the previous winter series.

Maya Jama, 28, is also expected to host the popular programme again.

She told The Times how the show’s producers picked her without an interview based on her previous presenting roles.

Maya shared that she couldn’t hide her excitement: “I said yes to Love Island straight away! Of course!”

The new Rimmel London ambassador added that being chosen to host was a significant moment for her as a mixed-race woman.

Maya is the first non-white host of the show, being born to a Somali father and a Swedish mother.

She told Vogue: “Growing up, I never saw an East African woman host a show.

“This is definitely a big moment for all of us in that sense, and I hope it just opens way more doors for other people from similar backgrounds and cultures as myself.”
