Love Island star Jacques O’Neill was notably absent from last night’s wrap party, as his ex-partner Paige Thorne arrived at the farewell shindig alongside Adam Collard.
The 23 year old rugby player made the decision to leave the villa part way through his time on the show, after struggling with his mental health while in the villa.
However, after his surprise exit, the former Castleford Tigers player had vowed to wait for Paige, 24, to continue their relationship back in the UK.
Just days after Jacques had bid farewell to the villa, Paige moved on with returning Islander Adam Collard, whose arrival had sparked an emotional display from Jacques.
After a whirlwind two weeks of dating, Paige and Adam decided to go exclusive last week, and appeared to be very much in love as they enjoyed a romantic boat ride for their final date of the season.
After watching his crush move on with someone else, Jacques was said to have been left feeling “broken” over the blossoming new romance, however the cheeky athlete didn’t let that hold him back as he was spotted hanging out with his Island BFF Antigoni Buxton on multiple occasions since leaving the villa.
Celebrating the finale on Sunday night, which saw Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu take home the coveted cash prize, Paige and Adam joined their former co-stars, as well as narrator Iain Stirling and Scarlett Moffatt for the show's wrap party in Majorca.
Sharing a photo taken alongside the beaming couple on Instagram Scarlett wrote: "Honestly what a pair!! So much love for these beautiful souls. @PaigeThorne @AdamCollard."
Adam and Paige both went on to share the post, with Paige captioning it: ”Love love love her."
Scarlett also shared a behind the scenes glimpse of the party itself, as she shared numerous photos and videos that revealed fairy lights, palm trees and cocktail stations for the returning Islanders to enjoy as they toasted the end of the series.
Keeping on trend with the villa aesthetic, iconic bean bags were laid out across the floor with a large screen situated at the front while DJ Tom Zanetti played host as they anxiously awaited the announcement of this year’s winners.
Once Ekin-Su and Davide were declared the winners, Scarlett shared a video of everyone cheering and clapping in the room.
Despite all of the other Islanders returning, including the bombshells who caused chaos this year in Casa Amor, Jacques was notably absent from the proceedings – however he did wish all of the finalists good luck before the result was announced.
He wrote: "For me, Dami, Davide, Andrew and Luca were my boys in the villa. I couldn’t be happier to see them all in the final together, it’s so well deserved! No matter the outcome tonight, I’m proud of you all!"
