The newly-engaged couple, who has been dating since 2017, takes to their respective social media accounts to share some pictures of the two after the proposal.
AceShowbiz -Congratulations are in order for Erika Henningsen and Kyle Selig. Having been dating for around four years, the “Mean Girls” musical co-stars took to social media to announce that they have finally gotten engaged.
On Thursday, July 1, the 28-year-old beauty shared a picture of her and her new-fiance from the beachside proposal and some other snaps of the two during a trip. In the accompaniment of the post, she raved, “I choose you always, thanks for choosing me best friend.”
Erika, who also included a sweet video of the pair at the beach after getting engaged, continued, “(Not pictured: a 100 pound sea turtle who served as witness, and Kyle’s panic sweat when he dropped the ring in the sand moments before.)” She then tagged her beau’s Instagram handle, “@kaselig.”
Also making public the exciting news was Kyle. Turning to his own Instagram page, he let out a series of pictures from the big moment. He captioned it, “Oh yeah, HERE’s a couple more… I am lucky to have a best friend that has seen me through all the ups and downs.”
“I think I’d be stupid not to LOCK THAT DOWN. So we’re doing this, officially,” the actor/dancer/singer further noted. “She said yes, btw, she’s not just keeping the ring.”
Kyle’s post has since been flooded with congratulatory comments from his fans. One user gushed, “OMGOMGOMG!!!!! HUGE CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! SO INCREDIBLY happy for you both!!!!!! Cheers to an amazing rest of your lives together!!!” Another simply exclaimed, “Amazing!!!! Congrats.”
The announcement came just one day after Kyle treated his fans to pictures of him and Erika from their Hawaiian trip. Posting the images on Instagram, he penned, “WHOLESOME HAWAII PHOTO DUMP – I can’t promise there won’t be another one of these… We took a lot of photos, and I’m sure I left some out.”
Kyle and Erika have been in a romantic relationship since 2017. The twosome played the roles of Cady Heron and Aaron Samuels respectively in the musical adaptation of “Mean Girls”, but exited the show just shy of its final performance.
