Meghan Markle's dad Thomas Markle has accused his daughter and Prince Harry of "depriving" their kids of seeing their grandparents.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex lost contact with Thomas, 77, around the time of their wedding in 2018, after he staged paparazzi photos showing him preparing for the big day.

Meanwhile Prince Harry, who turned 37 on 15th September, is said to have a strained relationship with his father Prince Charles after he stepped down from his role as a senior member of the Royal Family.

Now, Thomas has once again hit out at the royal couple and claimed that keeping two year old Archie, and three month old Lilibet from their grandparents is "terribly unfair".

Thomas added that himself and Queen Elizabeth should have open access to Meghan, 40, and Harry's children.

Currently, the only grandparent who regularly sees Archie and Lili is Meghan's mother Doria.

Speaking to Australia'a Channel 7's Sunrise breakfast program, Thomas said of his grandchildren: "I think they are being deprived of seeing all their grandparents and I think they are being deprived of seeing all their relatives and I think that's terribly unfair to them."

Thomas also claimed that by not returning to England, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were "cheating" their children and he had been approached "by several lawyers pro bono".

He said: "I have had offers from several lawyers pro bono, we do have a right to sue to see our grandchildren.

"To me that is like turning this into some kind of game and using them as pawns."

However, he does not intend to take legal action to get access to his grandchildren.

Thomas said: "I will not sue to see them because I just think that is using them… and I don’t want to see Harry and Meghan do the same thing.

"They should not be used, they are just kids, babies. I will wait."

Meghan's father also revealed that he had attempted to get in contact with his ex wife Doria, 65, in an attempt to reconnect with his estranged daughter.

He said: "I have tried a few times to call her and not been able to get through.

"I have also left a couple of letters for her on her porch with no response.

"Doria and I did always get along, it should not be a problem… but that seems to be a dead-end for me as well."
