Congratulations are in order for Princess Eugenie, who is expecting her second child with her husband Jack Brooksbank.
The news was announced by Buckingham Palace on Tuesday 24 January in an official statement.
The little one will be a sibling for the couple’s first child, August, nearly two, who the couple welcomed in February 2021.
Princess Eugenie herself took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a heartwarming snap of her son August kissing her growing baby bump.
She penned: "We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer."
Eugenie and Jack’s happy news comes after the pair stepped out together at the Princess of Wales’ second Together At Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey.
The Royal was all smiles as she arrived at the festive event hand-in-hand with her husband in a belted wool coat by Weekend Max Mara.
Eugenie also wore the same coat just days later when she and Jack exited the Maison Estelle members' club in London's Mayfair and she showed off a hint of a bump.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the news of August’s birth in a statement in 2021, with Eugenie sharing a sweet black and white snap on Instagram of herself and Jack holding August’s hand shortly after. She captioned the image with three blue heart emojis.
The statement from Buckingham Palace read at the time: "The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news."
It added: "Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."
Eugenie gave birth to August at The Portland Hospital in London, the same hospital where she was born in 1990.
And the 32-year-old may opt for the Portland again as the hospital has a long history with the Royal family.
As well as both Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice, 34, being born there, Beatrice also welcomed her 16-month-old daughter Sienna there, while all four of Princess Margaret’s grandchildren were also born there.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also opted for their first child, son Archie, now three, to be born there in May 2019.
The Portland is no stranger to celebrity births either, with Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, actress and model Elizabeth Hurley and model Jerry Hall all having welcomed their children there.
