Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the Queen will not attend this year's summer garden parties.
The 96 year old will be represented by other members of the Royal Family at this year's parties, held on May 11, 18 and 25 in the garden's of Buckingham Palace.
The monarch will also skip the June 29th party at Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
A spokesman said: "Her Majesty the Queen will be represented by other members of the royal family at this year's garden parties, with details on attendance to be confirmed in due course."
The Queen has also given permission for her daughter Princess Anne to host The Not Forgotten Association Annual Garden Party on Thursday, 12 May.
Anne is a patron of The Not Forgotten Association Annual – which is a charity that provides entertainment, leisure and recreation for serving wounded, injured, or sick members of the Armed Forces and veterans with disabilities.
Officials decided last year and 2020 to not go ahead with the parties due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Over recent months, the Queen has been forced to pull out of various events and has even opened up about her “exhausting” battle with Covid-19.
She is also thought to have been having some mobility issues of late after being spotted using a walking stick.
Most recently, the Queen pulled out of the Royal Maundy Service for the first time in 52 years.
