Sweet moment Kate Middleton is told she’s broken the rules by Wimbledon ball girl

Kate Middleton received a cheeky reminder of on-court etiquette from a sweet ball girl as she played a warm-up game ahead of next week's Wimbledon tournament.

The Princess of Wales, who is a huge tennis fan herself, visited the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in southwest London to film a YouTube video with retired Swiss ace, Roger Federer.

The meet-up was to celebrate the "amazingly professional" ball boys and girls who are preparing for the upcoming tournament.

But one girl in particular was so professional that she took it upon herself to correct the Duchess over her skills.

During the rally, the royal caught the ball as it headed out of bounds, but Federer was quick to ask if the move was allowed as he knew it was banned in Australia.

When Kate playfully asked SW19 ball girl Molly if she had broken a rule, she responded, "You are not meant to catch it. You are meant to let it bounce and then get it, but good catch."

The Princess of Wales and Roger, both 41, were invited to the training session to meet some hopefuls looking to secure one of the 250 ball boy and girl places on offer for the championships running from July 3-16 in southwest London.

Kate, who is the patron of The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, which hosts the Grand Slam event, said, "Wimbledon is renowned for its amazingly professional ball boys and ball girls.

"The amount of work it takes, it's incredible to see it behind the scenes. With all the discipline and everything you've learned, you'll be able to take it into so many other parts of your life – things like confidence, and that feeling of pride with being on any of the courts is such a big moment."

The Princess looked carefree as she rallied around the court wearing a white tennis dress.

It comes as a body language expert told us that Roger Federer was 'captivated' by Kate Middleton's confidence on the court.

Kate, 41, is known to be a big fan of tennis, and she's often seen watching the big matches at Wimbledon in the stands.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, body language expert Darren Stanton said that Kate has made a 'conscious effort' to appear 'relatable' during the visit, and Roger was left 'captivated' by her 'levels of confidence'.

He said, "Kate appeared really confident and comfortable playing tennis. She displayed no signs of conflict or awkwardness in her body language. In fact, her body language and gestures were completely consistent with someone who felt at ease in their surroundings.

"I think Roger was secretly impressed by her levels of confidence throughout the video.

"Kate appeared totally poised behind the ball, especially in front of the tennis star. She definitely took it in her stride, as she always does."
