Brave dad-of-22 Noel Radford finally faces his biggest fears on epic family holiday in 22 Kids and Counting

TACKLING a phobia is a challenge in itself.

But doing so in front of your 22 children takes it to a whole new level.

That's what Noel Radford discovered as he battled to overcome his fear of horses during a family holiday to the Scottish Highlands.

In the newest episode of TV show 22 Kids and Counting, airing on Wednesday night, the family is seen going horse riding, with Noel admitting he was feeling somewhat apprehensive about the excursion.

"They’re not my thing. I’ve never particularly liked them," he sighed.

Once at the stables, he was left stunned by the horses he and wife Sue were given, as he told his other half: "Mine’s taller than yours!"

"I’m not looking forward to getting on that, to be honest," he added. "It should be like a push bike – you should be able to put your tiptoes on the floor."

He also revealed exactly where his phobia had stemmed from, explaining: "When I was a kid I got bit by a donkey and it wouldn’t let go, so my mum had to hit it with a plank of wood to make it let go.

But despite his fears, Noel managed to successfully get on his horse – called Boss – and the family enjoyed a relaxing hack around the Highlands.

It was five-year-old Phoebe who loved the activity the most though, with her asking Sue as soon as she got off the animal, "Mummy, can you buy me a horse?"

"This was great, that everybody could do the same thing," Noel grinned, with Sue adding: "And they’ve all had an absolutely brilliant time."

Later in the episode, the family are seen having to return home after Millie's daughter Ophelia comes down with a temperature of 39.3 degrees.

After they campervan convoy returns back to the house, Noel immediately gives Ophelia a hug, and exclaims, "She doesn't feel that hot does she?"

Millie acknowledges that Ophelia is miles better than she was, as she's just been wearing a nappy all day.

And despite having fun and making memories on their Scottish holiday, Sue concludes the episode by saying happily: "We're home! Woo hoo. I'm just ready to fall in my bed."

Speaking of the Radfords, the last episode saw the family getting smaller as Millie and Ophelia moved out.

Fans were in tears as Luke came out as bisexual in emotional scenes.

And Noel suffered a health scare which left his kids begging him not to die.
