CLEANING fans have realised a very popular condiment is the perfect thing to clean their toilets with.
Many are raving that ketchup “works better than any chemical” they’ve tried before.
It’s believed that the acid in tomato sauce breaks down any grime and residue on bathroom surfaces like toilets, traps and drains.
The cleaning hack has taken social media by storm, with one homeowner stripping her loo of all its grime using the nifty sauce.
She claimed that no chemicals or cleaning products have removed brown water stains from the toilet bowl.
Taking to the Mums Who Clean Facebook group, she penned: “Yep, tomato sauce is brilliant on brown water stains!

The tomato-themed revelation prompted hundreds of others to get their ketchup out and start scrubbing.
One homemaker shared the amazing results it had on their drain.
To clean grime and residue around your bathroom, you should lather a generous amount of the sauce on the problem area and leave it a few hours to work its magic.
When you return to wipe the sauce away, the dirt should slide right off with it.
