H&M Conscious Exclusive 2018 has launched – shop the collection here

We never thought ethical fashion could look this good but year after year, H&M pulls it out of the bag with its Conscious Exclusive collection.

For 2018 the retailer has got the super of all supers Christy Turtlington to star in the campaign – and we're obsessed.

H&M Conscious is a project set up to fight against the negative impact fast fashion has on our environment.

The retailer experiments with design and fabrication to create incredible clothes, lingerie, shoes and accessories in a more sustainable way.

It champions the use of new fabrics such as Tencel®, organic linen, recycled polyester, silk and glass and this year,  ECONYL® – a 100 per cent regenerated fibre made from fishnets and other nylon waste.

The Exclusive collection which brings high fashion to the high street, comes out once a year and is now in it's seventh season.

The 2018 collection is inspired by the 19th century arts and crafts movement in Sweden.

The prints, as a result, carry that same sense of elevated bohemia; clashing ditzy florals with painterly swirls and graphic brush strokes.

Cuts, meanwhile, are elegant and grown-up, ranging from 1940s-inspired full skirts to easy drop-waist dresses and structured kick-flare suits made from the most beautiful jacquard satin.

There's even a floor-sweeping, white lace gown that would make an incredible wedding dress.

Last week, at the exclusive launch party, some of our favourite female celebrities came to celebrate the new drop including Amanda Seyfried, Kate Bosworth, Mena Suvari, Naomie Harris and Michael Jackson's daughter Paris, each one of them wearing a different design from the range.

Of course, the real star of the show was super model Christy Turlington, one of the original supers who rose to fame in the 1980s alongside Linda Evangelista and Naomi Campell.

But for Turlington, this is so much more than fashion: “I’ve learned so much about sustainable materials and how far we’ve come being part of the H&M Conscious Exclusive campaign. The collection is really feminine and elegant,” she says.
