How to get away with NEVER cleaning the top of your kitchen cabinets – all you need is a super cheap household item

THE DIRT you can't see, can't hurt… right?

One affordable household item will save you from cleaning those hard-to-reach places, specifically the top of kitchen cabinets.

A mom who goes by @mamaknowbest on social media shared her helpful hack for easily cleaning cabinet tops without wasting your time and energy.

These higher-up surfaces are often forgotten about on cleaning days, leading unseen dirt to build up over time.

It's not too often that people climb up on countertops to wipe down dust and grease, but when they do, they are faced with months, or even years, of grime.

Mama shared that to easily avoid cleaning the cabinet tops, simply line them with paper towels.

This hack will prevent the dirt from sitting directly on cabinet tops and instead will allow you to just throw the dirty paper towels away.

According to Mama, the paper towels "will absorb all the grease and dust" and will also save you from cleaning, as she only has to change them out once a year.

For dusting other hard-to-reach places, one expert recommends using a pillowcase when wiping off your ceiling fan to avoid spreading the dust.

“Did you know you can clean your ceiling fan with just a simple pillowcase?” expert Leslie Reichert asked in a video for eHow Home.

“What we’re gonna do is keep all the dust inside the pillowcase.

Then in a voiceover showing the cleaning tip in action, she explained: “I’m gonna open it up, put it all the way to the end of the paddle, press down really hard, and pull all the dust off.

“This is a great way to keep all of the dust inside of that pillowcase and not going on something like your comforter or your favorite coffee table,” she added.

This easy and quick dusting tip seemed to please viewers, as one commenter called Leslie a “genius.”
