A WOMAN has revealed that she couldn’t find a reasonably-priced place to rent due to the current housing crisis, so decided to buy a caravan instead.

Eloura, a young mother, explained that she bought a 1979 water damaged caravan, and set to work on giving it a mega transformation.



In just four weeks, the DIY whizz was able to turn the once tired home on wheels into the ultimate tiny home, perfect for her and her toddler.

Eloura took to social media to show off her caravan’s overhaul, leaving many open-mouthed. 

In one clip, which Eloura shared with the caption ‘Look at that transformation!’, the mother said: “I bought a 1979 caravan.”

At the start of the clip, we saw the old-fashioned, run-down caravan.

Eloura then got to work as we saw her ripping up the floorboards and painting. 

She then added: “We completely transformed it into a place that I can soon call home.

“It’s not done yet. Look at the transformation so far!

“I can’t wait to move in.”

In another video, which Eloura posted alongside the caption ‘Cozy caravan home tour’, she proudly showed off more of the caravan’s DIY overhaul.

She said: “After not being able to find a rental due to the current crisis, I found this 1979 caravan.

“With some help from my mum, we completely renovated it.

“It took four weeks, it’s been completely transformed.

“There are a few things left to do, but I was too excited and wanted to move in.

“My toddler and I love our new home.

“I’ve always wanted to live tiny.

“I’m happy my dreams have become reality.” 

Eloura’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @elourawild, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 92,000 views.

It has 3,080 likes, 37 comments, 182 saves and 78 shares. 

Social media users were stunned at the renovated caravan and many were eager to express this in the comments.

One person said: “Awesome job.”

Another added: “Love it.”

A third commented: “I love how it turned out.”

Whilst someone else noted: “What a great idea and you will save so much money on rent!!!”
