A WOMAN has proudly taken to social media to show off her epic council house transformation, as she gave it the ultimate makeover, taking it from very plain and dull to a stunning haven.
The council house previously had paint and wallpaper chipping off the walls and looked like a building site.
But with some savvy DIY skills and bargains from The Range and B&M, social media user Charlotte created a gorgeous home.
Charlotte posts on TikTok under the username @xxcharcharchar_x and recently took to the video sharing platform to show off her DIY stair transformation.
She posted her clip with the caption ‘Getting there slowly 🏡’, as she said: “Let’s get these trampy stairs sorted together.”
The stairs looked very worn and plain and not very inviting, so Charlotte put her DIY skills to the test and got to work.

She noted: “First off, let’s bond the flooring to the stair front.”
Charlotte added the grey flooring to the front of the stairs and then after this, she added grey carpet to the tops of the stairs.
Looking at her finished stairs, Charlotte commented: “Much better.”
Charlotte explained that she used “normal floor boards” for the stair fronts and then stuck the carpet down with “glue and grippers after the flooring.”

We think Charlotte’s stairs look fabulous – as she quickly transformed them from drab to fab.
The grey stairs look very modern too and we’re sure that cleaning fanatic and grey-lover Mrs Hinch would definitely approve.
Her video has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 672.7k views.
It has 41.1k likes, 141 comments and 751 shares.
Social media users were left open-mouthed at the luxe transformation and were in shock at how fabulous the stairs now looked.
