A WOMAN has been left mortified after a tattoo of her mum's birthday turned out to be a disaster.

The TikToker, who posts under the username Ellie Macintosh, had decided to get her mum's special day inked on her arm.

However, the touching tribute didn't quite go to plan as Ellie revealed that she had in fact got the date totally wrong while drunk.

The upload is hilariously captioned: "The fact my mum wasn't even surprised says a lot."

In the TikTok, Ellie starts by showing off her new tattoo on her forearm with the video accompanied by the words "decides to get a tattoo of mums bday while drunk".

But the camera soon pans upwards and she confesses that while intoxicated she ended up "getting the completely wrong date tattooed on me".

One viewer who appears to be a friend of Ellie said: "My favourite story you ever told me, out of the many."

Another quipped that the drunk tattoo was a "very Ellie thing to do".

While the body art itself is nothing disastrous, let's hope that Ellie decides to get her next tat before she hits the pub.
