IT seems as though more and more people are turning to cosmetic procedures to get the ‘perfect’ Instagram look.

But one woman, Georgia Fox, revealed that she got more than she bargained for when she got cheek filler done and it went horribly wrong. 

Georgia has 92.1k followers and 3.5million likes on TikTok and is a hairdresser and beauty fan.

The young woman took to social media to reveal that she was left in shock when she had cheek filler done and it went terribly wrong – and now she wants to urge others to be careful when getting cosmetic procedures done. 

Cheek filler provides volume to and around your cheekbones, by using dermal fillers to create an instant ‘plumping’ effect.

While Georgia didn’t reveal what exactly caused the procedure to go wrong, she shared her story on social media, showing off pictures of her reaction to the filler.

She said: “This is your sign to never get cheek filler”.

Georgia posted a video to TikTok showing how her cheek filler went wrong, when one night her face had swollen.

She shared videos of her reaction to the filler as she explained: “After months of having it, it looked like this one random night.

“Next morning I woke up like this – it just got worse and worse from there”.

By the second day, Georgia’s cheeks were even more swollen.

Things progressively got worse and by the third day, she revealed that she went to the doctors about her facial filler.

She continued: “Day three, I had to go to the doctors and they had never seen this kind of reaction before.

“I had to go and get it dissolved after it settled a bit and they had never felt filler so hard in their whole ten years of doing filler.

“It felt like cement.

“It took two times for it to actually dissolve but it’s finally gone”.

Georgia’s video has clearly shocked many, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 214.5k views.

It has 5,523 likes, 89 comments and 72 shares.

The comments on Georgia’s video were very mixed – some offered their claims as to why Georgia may have reacted to the cheek filler, while many shared their experiences with cheek filler. 

One person said: “Had mine done and never had a problem, get topped up once a year”. 

Another added: “I’ve had it done 3 times and never happened… It could be because of the injectors’ technique, not placed properly…”

A third commented: “You definitely don’t react well with filler”.

Someone else simply stated: “Incorrect placement”. 

Meanwhile, one person claimed: “Cheap filler”. 

Another noted: “It’s definitely the practitioner and not “cheek filler" itself”.
