I made a DIY Christmas door feature out of baubles and tinsel and everyone is saying the same thing

DECEMBER is here and Christmas is only 23 days away…

Many of us have already started decorating our homes for the festive season, with tinsel and baubles galore.

But one mum has taken to TikTok to share her DIY door Christmas display and we are seriously impressed.

Ashley McCorry posted the video showing off her display to her TikTok account ‘Ashleymccorry1’ with the caption ‘May have taken longer than I thought but I love it’.

In the video we see the journey of Ashley’s DIY display, with the classic Christmas tune It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas seriously vamping up the Christmas spirit.

For those that are impressed with Ashley’s beautiful silver and gold display, she then posted another video detailing how she made the creation.

Ashley used bargain damage-free hanging hooks from Command which she stuck to the wall.

She then used planting wire from Homebase, which she hung on the hooks.

Ashley revealed that the planting wire cuts “easily enough with scissors”.

She then attached ornament hooks to each bauble and hooked them onto the wire.

Finally, she wrapped tinsel around the baubles to finish off the display.

To fix the frame to the wall, Ashley’s husband hammered “3 stronger hooks to the top just to secure it more.”

When asked how much it cost to create the DIY display, Ashley confirmed “around £200.”

At the time of writing, Ashley’s video had only been posted to TikTok for a day, but had already racked up a whopping 1.3million views.

It has 142.9k likes, 1,069 comments and 7,159 shares.

Many TikTok users were seriously impressed with Ashley’s DIY project and took to the comments to express this.

One TikTok user said: “I LOVE THIS.”

Another added: “Omg that looks wicked.”

A third commented: “Looks absolutely beautiful.”

But many comments on Ashley’s video were from people saying that they loved the display so much that they would never take it down if it were in their own home.

One person said: “I’d NEVER take this down” to which Ashley said “Is that acceptable? Because I don’t want to.”

Another commented: “You could keep this all year round and just add pumpkins for halloween, bunnies and flowers for Easter and then you can have forever.”

A third added: “That looks so lovely. I would never take it down.”
